In July 2023, we had the privilege of hosting a transformative event, "Policy 101 for Gender Responsive Agricultural Systems," empowering African Policy Fellows to drive positive change in agricultural policies. Throughout the event, attendees engaged with expert facilitators, participated in interactive workshops, and collaborated with like-minded individuals, building a powerful network for advocating gender-sensitive solutions. Case studies of successful policies were explored, and attendees strengthened their advocacy and communication skills while understanding the vital link between gender-responsive agriculture and the Sustainable Development Goals. We are grateful for the enthusiasm and commitment shown by all participants and remain inspired by their dedication to creating an inclusive, sustainable, and prosperous Africa.
